Community Outreach – How Your Support Helps

Children’s Dental Health Clinic in Long Beach - The Children's Dental Health Clinic is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality basic and specialty dental services, including oral health education, to economically disadvantaged children, ages 0-19, in the Greater Long Beach and South Bay areas. CDA Cares - The California Dental Association and CDA Foundation host CDA Cares, a program that allows volunteer dentists, with the assistance of other dental professionals and community volunteers, to provide dental services at no charge to an average of 1,950 people at each event. Assistance League of Long Beach (Orthodontics Program) - The new Children's Center opening in Fall 2019 will enable the orthodontic services to expand, serving low and moderate-income children, increasing the number of patients in braces from 700 to 1000. The HDS Foundation is a Creating Smiles campaign donor to support the success of this program. www.allb.org 

About the HDS Foundation
Mission: To improve the oral health of the local underserved community through volunteer efforts and funding.
Vision:   HDS Foundation supports projects and programs within the harbor dental society component that improves the oral health of the underserved community.

Strategic Plan
1. Manage and administer grants, donations and contributions to sustain the financial activities of the Foundation
a. Tactics: fundraising, collaborate with like organizations and local community clinics for financial leverage

2. Community outreach to promote volunteer opportunities to serve the underserved and educate the public on oral health
